The idea behind Robert's Random is for me to write about whatever I'm thinking about whenever I'm thinking it. I try to write 3-5 times a week, but sometimes real work gets in the way of that. Sometimes I'll share whatever random thought I might have that day but most of the time, I like to write about things going on in the news. I'm a total news junkie, I spend a lot of time online at various news sites. If I find a story where someone does something totally stupid or I wonder "what were they thinking?" I don't mind pointing it out incase others missed it or taking my best guess at what they were thinking. I like to laugh, I like to make others laugh. There's so much serious and wrong stuff going on in the news that when I find an unusual or light story, I like to use it. And while real life news events might be the focus of many of my blogs, I'm just trying to entertain you, make you laugh and maybe even think about something you didn't know before reading. I'm not trying to break any serious news or deliver any hard-hitting coverage. You'll have to read a paper or watch one of the network shows for that.
If you're going to cheat, upgrade
Mutt Lange has to be one of the stupidest men alive.
He's the idiot http://songmechanic.files.wordpress.com/2007/10/blog_songwriters_mutt_lange_021.... who allegedly had an affair with his secretary while married to Shania Twain.
Doesn't he know, if you're going to cheat on your significant other, you should at least cheat on them with someone hotter than your current partner?
If you're married to Shania Twain, http://www.news1130.com/images/FEEDS/05/15/e051586A.jpg how do you go from there? There are very, very few women in this world who most man would consider to be an upgrade compared to Shania (expect for you, of course, you're beautiful).
Cheating is wrong and it shouldn't be done, especially in marriage, but if you're going to do it, it only makes sense to do it with someone hotter than your current partner.
Think about cheating like stealing a car. Stealing a car is wrong and if you get caught, you're going to go to jail. But jail is jail, there's only one jail (unless your rich). It doesn't matter what car you steal, you're still going to jail at the end of the day.
So imagine you own your dream car, in this case, it's a '69 Mustang
http://zelter.lunarpages.com/~leiske2/arccars/69mustang_johnson.jpg. You love the car at first. You drive it all over the place, you spend an insane amount of time taking care of it, you think it's the greatest thing ever.
After a while you decide the Mustang just isn't cutting it anymore. You'd rather have a car with power steering so the bad idea light goes off in your head and you decide you're going to "borrow" your neighbor's car for a little bit.
The neighbor to the right of your house owns a Porsche Boxter http://www.porsche.com/usa/. On the left, your neighbor always leaves a Ford Pinto http://jamesptaylor.files.wordpress.com/2007/12/ford-pinto.jpg in the driveway.
Which one would you chose? Remember, the punishment's going to be the same when you get caught. Do you want to tell your friends and cell mates you're going to jail for stealing a Pinto or a Boxter?
It's the same with cheating, when you get caught, the first question is always going to be "with who?" Would you rather have your significant other telling everyone you slept with the super-sized fry girl at McDonald's or the super hot nurse down the street?
Also, the timing of Shania's divorce is a little suspicious as she is currently working on a new CD. She released a greatest hit CD in 2004 and hasn't released a new CD since 2002.
She was basically irrelevant in country music the last few years until the story of her divorce broke.
It's a safe bet Shania didn't just find out about her husband's affair a few days before the Academy of Country Music award show.
At least she wasn't as obvious as Sarah Evans http://us.ent2.yimg.com/musicfinder.yahoo.com/images/yahoo/rca/saraevans/0203_sa... was about using her personal life to sell CD's. Evan's divorce was big news in country music for a pretty good period of time.
Her divorce was finalized in September, about a month before her greatest hits CD went to the stores.
